Key Responsibilities

• Directly report to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Craft and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Develop a progressive roadmap focused on data innovation and transformation to elevate customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Promote a company-wide data-driven decision-making culture.
• Design and enforce data governance policies to uphold data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory bodies such as BSP, AML, and GDPR.
• Standardize data management procedures across the institution.
• Identify and minimize risks pertaining to data privacy, protection, and ethical handling.
• Lead initiatives in advanced analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to extract actionable insights.
• Oversee data visualization and reporting tools to facilitate strategic decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various business units to leverage data for competitive advantage.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
• Coordinate with IT, risk management, marketing, and other departments to embed data initiatives seamlessly within business operations.
• Act as a pivotal advisor to the executive team on matters related to data opportunities and challenges.
• Assess and implement cutting-edge data management platforms and technologies.
• Manage the design, acquisition, and integration of scalable data systems efficiently.
• Continuously track industry trends to maintain leadership in digital banking innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in data management or analytics roles, including minimum 5 years in leadership positions.
• Demonstrated success in formulating and executing data strategies in financial services or technology industries.
• Expertise in data governance, analytics, and compliance within the banking sector.
• Profound knowledge of data technologies such as Big Data, AI/ML, and cloud computing platforms.
• Strong leadership capabilities complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strategic, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
• Proficient analytical skills with focus on improving financial process efficiency and systems.
• Experienced in team management and effective cross-departmental collaboration.
• Meticulous attention to detail in managing financial data.
• Above average English verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex concepts persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Self-driven, responsible, enjoys independent work with entrepreneurial mentality.
