Job Overview

The Chemist role involves conducting precise chemical evaluations on raw inputs, packaging, and product stages following established criteria. Accuracy in testing, report maintenance, and adherence to safety are key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical testing on raw materials, packaging items, in-process samples, and completed products according to approved standards.
• Utilize validated techniques and regularly calibrated instruments to conduct analyses.
• Accurately document laboratory results, testing records, and calibration logs.
• Observe analytical data and immediately communicate any anomalies to the QA/QC Manager.
• Manage proper storage and control of all lab chemicals, reagents, and standard materials.
• Contribute to method validation, verification processes, and continuous lab improvements.
• Ensure samples are correctly collected, identified, and traceable throughout testing procedures.
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams regarding test progress and product clearance.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, uphold safety protocols, and ensure organized housekeeping.
• Engage in internal and external audits as well as customer inspections concerning lab operations.
