About the Role
Zenia Hospitality seeks a reliable and skilled Chef for their Azad Café at Zephyr by Zenia, Patna. The role involves preparing diverse cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Continental, and café-style dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene. This full-time position offers the chance to contribute to the growth of a neighbourhood café and hotel dining establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals covering Indian, Chinese, Continental, and café-style cuisines.
- Handle breakfast items such as eggs, sandwiches, and pancakes.
- Cook pasta, noodles, snacks, starters, and main courses with consistent taste and presentation.
- Manage food preparation and daily mise-en-place activities.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean and adheres to strict food safety standards.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate purchasing needs to management.
- Reduce food waste and control portion sizes to manage costs effectively.
- Properly store and label all ingredients used in food preparation.
- Attend to food orders from hotel guests and café patrons.
- Collaborate with service and hotel staff during high-demand periods.
- Contribute to menu development by creating new dishes and improving existing offerings.
Candidate Profile
- Experience as a Chef, Cook, or Commis in hotels, cafés, or restaurants is preferred.
- Exposure to multiple cuisines is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safe food handling practices is essential.
- Must demonstrate punctuality, discipline, and ability to work independently.
- Consistent quality in food preparation is required.
- Practical cooking skills are valued; formal hotel management qualifications are not mandatory.
