  • Ensure every dish complies with brand standards for flavor, portion size, and presentation.
  • Coordinate service across dine-in, takeaway, and delivery platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato, emphasizing speed and order accuracy.
  • Oversee, train, and schedule commis chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Maintain hygiene protocols and food safety according to FSSAI regulations, conducting daily audits and checklist compliance.
  • Supervise temperature logs, stock rotation following FIFO, labeling, and sanitation schedules to ensure audit readiness.
  • Manage inventory including placing indents, verifying vendor deliveries, monitoring waste, and controlling food costs.
  • Support recipe costing and maintain standardized recipe cards for consistency.
  • Collaborate on menu innovation including new items, seasonal offerings, and menu optimization.
  • Document and standardize recipes and operating procedures to enable brand replication at new locations.
  • Incorporate customer feedback and current food trends into brand development.
  • Assist with kitchen setup for new outlets, cloud kitchens, or franchises during brand expansion.
  • Train new kitchen teams to uphold brand standards during openings.
  • Prepare to grow into senior leadership positions within the kitchen as the business expands.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 3–6 years in kitchen roles within quick service restaurants (QSR), gourmet burger or sandwich outlets, casual dining, or cloud kitchens.
  • Proficiency in fast food cooking methods including grilling, frying, preparing sauces, handling bread, and final assembly.
  • Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations, especially orders from delivery platforms.
  • Familiarity with food costing, inventory management, and compliance with FSSAI food safety standards.
  • Leadership qualities with ability to maintain composure and hands-on involvement during busy service.
  • Strong ownership mindset, treating kitchen operations as personal responsibility.
  • Possession of a culinary diploma or degree such as IHM or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A structured career progression path leading to positions like Sous Chef or Head Chef aligned with brand growth.
  • Opportunities to contribute creatively to menu design and overall brand development.
