Role Overview
Under the guidance of Head Chef Ming, the Chef de Partie will help oversee daily culinary operations within diverse kitchen outlets ranging from buffet breakfasts, Pumphouse Bar and restaurant, to in-room dining and events. This position demands leadership in ensuring quality, consistency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs, delegating tasks to staff to meet service requirements.
- Prepare and cook dishes to consistent high standards while managing a designated kitchen section.
- Support the Head Chef in menu development and stock preparation for anticipated services.
- Coordinate closely with Food & Beverage teams on menu availability and updates.
- Maintain excellent food presentation standards and monitor cost control across outlets.
- Enforce strict stock rotation and minimize wastage through diligent stock control procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Trade-qualified Chef holding a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong enthusiasm for delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experience.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Leadership skills to guide and develop junior kitchen staff.
- Commitment to uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
