About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to become part of an accomplished and close-knit kitchen team in Central London, working alongside a globally renowned chef celebrated for his expertise in Spanish cuisine. The kitchen specializes in contemporary Spanish dishes emphasizing exceptional seasonal ingredients and straightforward, generous cooking. The menu, curated by a famous Spanish chef involved in menu creation, occasional service, and hands-on training, ensures a high culinary standard.

Working Environment

The team consists of approximately 4-5 chefs and 2 kitchen porters, catering for between 200 to 600 guests per service or event. This role offers an exceptional work-life balance uncommon in London's luxury and fine-dining kitchens, featuring a structured workweek of 35 hours, five working days followed by two days off, Sundays closed, morning starts between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, and finishing times around 8:30 PM. Overtime is compensated, and the workplace is relaxed and well-organized, complemented by an excellent benefits package.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a Chef de Partie in quality restaurants, hotels, or luxury hospitality settings. A genuine enthusiasm for cooking high-quality food, strong preparation, organizational, and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a small professional kitchen brigade are essential. High food hygiene standards and a positive, eager-to-learn mindset are also required. Experience with Spanish cuisine is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The position pays £15.50 per hour plus a tronc of £3–£6 per hour depending on business performance, with annual earnings potentially ranging from £35,000 to £45,000. Additional compensation includes paid overtime, a 35-hour workweek, Sundays off, early finishes, and an excellent benefits package.
