Role Overview

We seek an ACA-qualified Chartered Accountant to lead and manage accounting tasks, guide AI agents, and ensure accuracy before submission to clients or regulatory bodies. This hands-on position involves ownership of accounting workflows starting from source data to year-end accounts, including client communication and problem resolution. The role is individual contributor-based with no immediate managerial duties and is located onsite in Dublin Docklands.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee client accounting from initial records through management and statutory accounts, including regulatory compliance and client updates.
• Review bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT, payroll, corporation tax filings, and Companies Registration Office submissions to detect missing or inconsistent information.
• Address technical accounting queries, document decision rationales, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Direct AI agents by defining tasks, authorized source data, validation checks, and operational boundaries.
• Validate AI agent outputs against source documents, accounting systems, calculations, and professional standards.
• Enhance accounting workflows by automating repetitive tasks and ensuring clear communication of final outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Current ACA or FCA member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
• Practical experience with Irish accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT, payroll, and CRO compliance.
• Strong judgment with meticulous attention to evidence, calculations, deadlines, and audit trails.
• Confident ownership of client deliverables while acknowledging uncertainties and errors transparently.
• Proven professional experience working with AI or automation in accounting, finance, operations, or analysis, with the ability to explain the AI’s impact, monitoring, and outcomes.
• Legal authorization to work in Ireland and availability to work onsite.
• Desirable: Knowledge of German language or German accounting exposure.

This role requires readiness to collaborate with AI agents as teammates, including adapting instructions, learning new tools, and modifying established workflows. Managing multiple agent-driven workflows simultaneously, maintaining accuracy, evidence standards, and accountability is critical as the team scales. Coding skills are not required, but clarity in instructions and structured thinking for automation are essential.

Career Development

Compensation and Application Process

The annual gross salary ranges from €50,000 to €70,000, commensurate with experience and proficiency in AI-related accounting tasks. The recruitment process includes a hypothetical AI and accounting case study (60–90 minutes) and interviews with management.
