About the Role
Youth For Seva (YFS) is looking for a seasoned Chapter Coordinator specializing in Volunteer Management to oversee volunteer engagement, stakeholder collaboration, events, and the execution of chapter programs. The ideal candidate should have strong ties within the community, possess excellent skills in managing people and events, and be adept at guiding projects from inception through to reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, engage, and sustain strong connections with volunteers to ensure their ongoing involvement in YFS initiatives.
- Identify appropriate volunteer opportunities and encourage meaningful participation across various programs.
- Organize and manage volunteer activities, events, orientations, and engagement campaigns.
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, NGOs, community organizations, volunteers, and other local stakeholders.
- Oversee projects through all phases including planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and completion.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of chapter activities while liaising with both internal and external partners.
- Manage volunteer records, update program information, generate reports, and maintain documentation using MS Office and Google Workspace tools.
- Utilize local networks and community exposure to identify prospects and expand the chapter's volunteer base.
- Regularly travel within the designated area to support volunteer efforts, stakeholder engagements, and program delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of four years of volunteer experience, with at least two years dedicated to volunteer management roles.
- Fluency in Bhojpuri, Hindi, and English languages is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite).
- Willingness and ability to travel routinely for field visits, events, and stakeholder interactions.
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership and event coordination.
- Proven expertise in volunteer engagement and coordination.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder relationship management and coordination.
- Comprehensive project management skills covering the full project lifecycle, including execution and monitoring.
- Good familiarity with local communities and networks.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
