Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Sherwood Park requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) responsible for preparing and reviewing both personal and corporate tax returns in accordance with tax regulations. Key duties include preparing and evaluating financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and completing reconciliations. The CPA will also offer clients advice on financial and accounting issues, address tax-related questions, and support year-end activities. Collaborating with team members to enhance internal workflows and maintain high professional standards is an essential part of this role. Candidate Qualifications
- Skilled in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including compilations and reviews.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in public practice.
- Possession of an active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced user of accounting and tax software such as Caseware, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to work on-site efficiently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain confidentiality along with professional ethics.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000.
