Job description
About the Role
We are urgently seeking a Certified Lifting Engineer to join a major project for QatarEnergy located in Dukhan, Qatar. This role requires a highly qualified engineer with experience in lifting operations and engineering to ensure safe and efficient lifting activities on site.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Civil disciplines.
- Possession of LEEA Appointed Person certification or an equivalent recognized lifting accreditation.
- Certified Lifting Engineer or Lifting Specialist credential is mandatory.
- A minimum of five years of experience in lifting engineering and handling lifting operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site surveys and develop comprehensive lifting studies and plans.
- Expertise in selecting appropriate cranes, verifying load charts, performing lifting calculations, and arranging rigging setups.
- Apply knowledge of QatarEnergy lifting standards and requirements during operations.
- Handle critical and heavy lifts with proven capability; prior experience in such lifts is advantageous.
- Engage in FAT and approvals with the client as required.
Additional Details
- Previous experience working on QatarEnergy or Dukhan projects is preferable.
