Job Overview
The Central Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating and accurately booking appointments within the electronic health records (EHR) system, primarily for outpatient services such as Ambulatory Care, Diagnostic Imaging, and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. This role demands delivering exceptional customer service to patients, their families, healthcare providers, internal customers, and ancillary departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule outpatient appointments in the EHR system efficiently and correctly.
- Interact with diverse stakeholders including patients, families, providers, and support departments, ensuring excellent service standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent; higher education such as some college coursework is desirable.
- Experience in public interaction roles focused on customer service is vital.
- Demonstrate intermediate computer skills necessary to operate relevant software.
- Exhibit strong analytical and statistical abilities alongside critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute effectively to project management and continuous improvement projects.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure the message is well understood by the intended audience.
- Work efficiently under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.
