Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a proficient CCTV Technician to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with IP camera installation, computer hardware maintenance, networking, and upkeep of surveillance systems. This individual will undertake installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance responsibilities for CCTV systems and associated devices.
Primary Duties
- Install, configure, and service CCTV cameras, including DVR/NVR and IP camera setups.
- Execute cable laying, camera positioning, and network configurations as required.
- Troubleshoot issues related to CCTV systems, network connectivity, and hardware failures.
- Set up and manage remote access and mobile monitoring solutions for surveillance equipment.
- Repair and maintain computer hardware components such as desktops, hard drives, power supplies, RAM, and networking gear.
- Provide support for LAN and Wi-Fi network installation and issue resolution.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on surveillance systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Document service activities and maintain comprehensive installation records.
- Collaborate with clients to offer technical support and coordinate service visits effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with CCTV systems, including IP cameras and DVR/NVR configurations, alongside networking knowledge.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware components and fundamental software troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working with routers, switches, LAN cabling, and internet setup.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring principles and power supply management.
- Strong communication skills and capability to engage with customers professionally.
Preferred Credentials
- Completed ITI, Diploma, or certification in Electronics, Computer Hardware, Networking, or related disciplines.
- Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in CCTV installation and support roles.
- Familiarity with major CCTV brands such as Hikvision, CP Plus, and Dahua is considered a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a monthly salary range of 16000 to 32000 INR. Additional allowances for travel and overtime may be provided when applicable.
Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
