Role Overview

The role of CCTV Operator is a full-time, on-site position located in Patna. This position entails continuous monitoring of live and recorded CCTV footage to detect and report suspicious activities, security violations, or technical problems. Daily duties cover operating DVR/NVR equipment, managing camera angles, documenting incidents, and promptly escalating issues to relevant personnel or security teams. The operator is responsible for performing routine system checks and coordinating technical maintenance for camera or recording malfunctions to maintain operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time and recorded video feeds to identify irregular or suspicious occurrences.
• Operate and manage DVR/NVR systems along with camera views effectively and accurately.
• Log security incidents thoroughly and escalate urgent concerns to the security or technical team.
• Conduct basic diagnostics on surveillance equipment and liaise with technicians for maintenance needs.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations during surveillance operations.
• Maintain precise records and respond quickly to footage requests or alerts.
• Support security team operations through clear communication and detailed documentation.

Prerequisites

• Proficient in handling CCTV systems, DVR/NVR gear, and fundamental IP camera interfaces with strong attention to detail.
• Basic networking knowledge relevant to security systems, including understanding connectivity, bandwidth, and system uptime.
• Excellent observational aptitude with situational awareness to detect and document suspicious behavior.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to report and coordinate security incidents effectively.
• Competent with computer-based monitoring tools and accurate data entry for record maintenance.
• Ability to maintain concentration during prolonged monitoring periods and respond calmly under pressure.
• Prior experience in CCTV operation or security-related roles is advantageous.
• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification in security or IT is preferred.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Patna, following shift schedules that may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
