Role Overview
This permanent position based in Auckland, New Zealand, offers a chance to advance your career within a dynamic sales team known for internal growth and professional development opportunities.
Key Duties
- Assist the Category Customer Manager in planning and analysis activities for joint business and category plans, aligning strategies and initiatives between Kraft Heinz and customers on an 18-month horizon.
- Acquire in-depth understanding of retailer performance across relevant categories, focusing primarily on Balance/Protect categories.
- Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments by creating and monitoring retailer-centric plans and collaborating cross-functionally, including working with Finance to address plan gaps.
- Conduct monthly market share reviews and assist in scan data routines for ongoing planning.
- Support setting objectives and managing risks and opportunities for Must Win/Grow range reviews.
- Develop compelling narratives and sales strategies for customer workshops and range reviews in partnership with Sales, Category Revenue, and Development teams.
- Advise on customer targets for new product launches, including distribution and margin considerations.
- Identify potential threats and prepare retailer-focused plans ensuring clear communication of category strategies among sales, marketing, and demand planning.
- Assist in building deletion defense arguments to achieve favorable range review outcomes aligned with broader category and retailer goals.
- Aid customer planning efforts emphasizing segmentation, addressing ranging gaps, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with Category Development and Marketing for strategic range decisions supporting Kraft Heinz objectives.
- Develop tools, processes, and leverage insights related to range management, shelf layout, and distribution performance.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated commercial insight preferably from Sales or Category Management roles.
- Experience engaging customers and selling strategic plans effectively.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Results-oriented with proven ability to coordinate and deliver through teamwork.
- Knowledge of Quantium, Circana, or Dunnhumby platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Account management experience is an asset.
- Experience in promotion and range modeling.
- Familiarity with systems such as Nielsen/IRI Scan/Panel (Temple, UNIFY), Demantra, JDA, Tableau, Quantium, Dunnhumby is advantageous.
- Several years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Key Account Management, or related Sales functions.
- Preference for candidates with FMCG industry background.
