Position Overview

Working as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to gain and enhance skills within the retail sector. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer warmly and courteously.
• Efficiently and accurately handle all purchase transactions, including correctly deactivating merchandise following the EAS program guidelines.
• Promote various company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Support customers by assisting with bagging and loading purchased items.
• Adhere to safety protocols including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean workstation.
• Maintain register security and integrity through meticulous cash handling, strict adherence to company policies, and vigilance.
• Refer customers to Customer Service Managers for additional service or transactional needs when necessary.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $16.90 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 16 years old.
