Cashier

Role Overview

The Cashier position is vital in delivering rapid, courteous, accurate, and secure service to customers. This role encompasses processing purchases and returns, overseeing the Self-Checkout stations, and actively enhancing product knowledge to better assist customers and uncover sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchase and return transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.
• Continuously acquire and apply product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify potential sales.
• Comply rigorously with all company policies to reduce inventory shrinkage.
• Assist in coaching and training new and existing Cashiers, supporting overall front-end team development.

Additional Role Information (Head Cashier)

Individuals holding a Head Cashier position take on additional tasks such as delegating Cashier assignments, expediting price verifications, approving point of sale operations including markdowns across various service points, and handling initial escalation of customer concerns.

They also contribute significantly to the coaching and supervision of front-end staff, leveraging all available resources to train and improve the performance of team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working as a Cashier is preferred.
