Job Overview
The Cashier role involves engaging with customers and managing transactional activities accurately using computerized systems. The position starts at an hourly wage of $17.25.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers, barcode scanners, and debit/credit card payment terminals.
- Process refunds and assist customers with any issues they may encounter.
- Handle payment collection and bagging of purchased items efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the customer service area.
- Gain knowledge of products and company policies to better assist customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong numerical abilities and familiarity with basic computer systems.
- Capable of performing independently in a dynamic, fast-moving retail environment.
- Focus on ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Effective communication skills combined with time management capabilities.
- Competent in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Fluency in both French and English languages is required.
