Cashier / Inventory Manager

About the Role

YOLO Chops, a vibrant restaurant specializing in Nigerian small chops, pastries, and grills, is looking for a committed and skilled Cashier / Inventory Manager to join their team at 209A Ado Road, Ajah, Lagos State. This position involves managing customer transactions, operating the cash register, assisting with front-of-house duties, and overseeing inventory management in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly upon entry and create a friendly atmosphere.
• Process orders accurately and handle payments via cash, credit, or debit.
• Operate POS systems efficiently to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and process changes as required.
• Keep the cash counter organized and clean at all times.
• Respond to customer questions about the menu and promotions.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to maintain seamless service delivery.
• Maintain front-of-house supply levels and restock when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to cash handling and safety protocols.
• Record daily sales data and communicate reports to management.
• Procure incoming stock, verify its condition, and accurately log inventory.
• Regularly check inventory quantities and carry out stocktaking activities.
• Properly organize and store stock while following food safety and FIFO guidelines.
• Identify and report low stock levels, expired or damaged items promptly.
• Generate stock reports and optimize inventory management processes.

Candidate Requirements

• At least one year of experience working as a cashier and/or inventory assistant.
• Proficient in using POS machines, Microsoft Excel, and handling cash transactions.
• Strong numerical ability and effective communication skills.
• Exemplary honesty, integrity, and acute attention to detail.
• Prior knowledge of restaurant operations is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Professional conduct and appearance.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.

Additional Information

The position offers a monthly salary of 110000 Nigerian Naira. Applicants should reside within the Addo Road, Badore, or Langbasa areas as this is a strict requirement.
