Position Overview

Cashiers hold a vital customer-facing position responsible for delivering quick, courteous, and precise service. They manage checkout and return transactions, oversee the Self-Checkout area, and actively acquire product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify sales opportunities. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is essential to reduce shrinkage.

Key Responsibilities

• Process checkout and return transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and supervise the Self-Checkout stations.
• Continuously enhance product and project knowledge to assist customers and support selling.
• Follow prescribed policies and procedures to minimize inventory loss.
• In the role of Head Cashier, allocate positions to Cashiers, expedite price checks, and approve POS transactions and markdowns across various service points including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Provide first-level escalation handling for customer concerns.
• Support supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates, including training new Cashiers and utilizing coaching tools to develop team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working as a Cashier.
