Position Overview
The role of a Cashier is vital in delivering quick, courteous, precise, and secure customer interactions. Responsibilities include processing both Purchases and Returns, alongside managing the Self-Checkout zone. Cashiers actively enhance their product and project knowledge to better inform customers and recognize opportunities for additional sales. Adherence to company policies ensures losses are minimized.
A Head Cashier supervises cashiers by coordinating their activities, handling price verifications swiftly, and authorizing transactions and markdowns across various points of sale such as main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns and support the development of front-end staff by contributing to training initiatives and using coaching tools to improve cashier performance.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate for Head Cashier has at least one year of experience working as a cashier.
