In Qatar, Nexans partners with local firms, contributing to major projects aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030. We seek a reliable Carpenter to join our Mesaieed plant, supporting maintenance and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations related to carpentry work.
• Inspect wooden cable drums for damage and determine repair needs.
• Repair, maintain, and adjust wooden drums per operational and quality standards.
• Carry out general carpentry tasks within the factory and associated facilities.
• Operate carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment safely and competently.
• Ensure all completed works comply with quality and safety benchmarks.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Promptly report any incidents, unsafe conditions, equipment faults, or operational issues to supervisors.
• Exercise resourcefulness by minimizing material waste and using company assets responsibly.
• Participate actively in SQDCE meetings, contributing to discussions on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Vocational training or certification in carpentry is preferred.
• Prior work experience as a carpenter, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance settings.
• Experience with repairing wooden cable drums considered a plus.
• Skilled in safe use of hand and power tools, plus carpentry machinery.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Capability to interpret work instructions, measurements, and fundamental technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and dedication to producing quality workmanship.
• Physically capable of safely performing the manual tasks involved.
• Reliable, disciplined, and able to function independently or collaboratively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as operational needs demand.
• Basic English communication skills preferred.
