Role Overview
Join Richard Hadlee Retirement Village in Belfast, Christchurch as a dedicated Caregiver and make a significant difference in the lives of our residents. This role offers a supportive and diverse team environment where every day provides an opportunity to positively impact residents' wellbeing.
Shifts Available
- Full Time: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM in the Special Care Unit (nights)
- Part Time options:
- Friday/Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM & Sunday/Monday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Medical Complex in the AM shift) – Dual Unit
- Friday/Saturday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM – Dual Unit
- Friday/Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM & Sunday/Monday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Medical Complex AM) – Special Care Unit
- Sunday/Monday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Medical Complex) – Special Care Unit
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist residents by providing engaging activities tailored to their interests.
- Implement personalized care plans with the same care you would provide to your own family.
- Develop meaningful connections with residents and their families.
- Utilize advanced technology, including the proprietary myRyman care application.
- Take time to understand each resident’s unique background and preferences to enrich their quality of life.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in dementia care combined with an accredited qualification in this area.
- Innate kindness and empathy as fundamental personal qualities.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Applicants must have valid New Zealand work rights due to immigration policies.
