Role Overview
The Career Specialist, stationed full-time onsite in Cannanore, Kerala, plays a pivotal role in guiding learners along finance and commerce career paths. Responsibilities include delivering personalized career counseling, facilitating group workshops, analyzing learner profiles and assessments to recommend appropriate professional programs, and supporting learner queries throughout their journey. The specialist also coordinates career events, engages with industry partners, and collaborates closely with faculty and placement departments to enhance employability and placement success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized career guidance sessions helping learners navigate pathways such as ACCA, CMA USA, and CA.
- Organize and execute group workshops focused on career development.
- Analyze learner progress, assessment data, and market trends to tailor recommendations and development plans.
- Respond promptly to learner inquiries, offering continuous assistance.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of counseling interactions.
- Collaborate with academic and placement teams to align learner development with market needs.
- Develop relationships with industry stakeholders to support learner placements and career events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in career counseling and development, especially related to finance and commerce qualifications.
- Strong communication skills and high customer service orientation to engage with learners, families, and internal teams effectively.
- Analytical aptitude to evaluate learner data, assessments, and financial industry trends.
- Experience in education, training, placement, or counseling roles within commerce, finance, or professional certification domains preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Psychology, Education, Management or similar fields. Advanced certifications in counseling or career development are advantageous.
- Familiarity with professional accounting certifications like ACCA, CMA USA, and CA along with current finance sector demands.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic academic setting, manage multiple learner profiles with confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
