About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Contract Career Counselors to support students in their transition from school to workplace within various districts in Punjab, India. This one-year contractual full-time position has potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize interactive workshops to raise student awareness about diverse career opportunities.
• Conduct assessments that aid students in identifying their career goals and strengths.
• Guide students on career planning post-10th grade, covering both professional and skill-based routes.
• Offer tailored career advice aligned with each student's personal interests and ambitions.
• Manage career helpline services to promptly resolve queries and provide real-time guidance.
• Maintain precise student documentation and uphold confidentiality standards rigorously.

Essential Skills and Expertise

• Proven competence in counseling and moderating group sessions effectively.
• Experience in teaching or classroom handling is advantageous.
• Training experience for educators is preferred.
• Excellent communication abilities in English and Punjabi languages.
• Adept at engaging with diverse groups of students to enhance learning experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in fields such as Counseling, Psychology, or Education is required.
• A Master's degree is mandatory for Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education (Guidance & Counseling), or Human Development specializations.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in career counseling, teaching, or related domains, particularly with a postgraduate degree.

Additional Requirements

• Familiarity with career development models and awareness of local employment market trends.
• Certification in career counseling or affiliated fields is preferred.
• Willingness to undertake travel as needed for job responsibilities.
• Possession of a two-wheeler vehicle is desirable for commuting purposes.
