Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Car Painter position located in Dubai involves preparing vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to guarantee excellent paint adhesion and finish. Responsibilities include mixing and matching paint hues, applying coatings using spray guns, executing clear-coat and finishing procedures, inspecting completed work for defects, remediating any imperfections, maintaining equipment and workspaces, and adhering strictly to safety and environmental protocols. The role requires cooperation with body repair specialists, estimators, and supervisors to fulfill deadlines and uphold quality benchmarks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in vehicle surface preparation techniques including sanding, masking, and priming.
- Capability in paint mixing, accurate color matching, and spray painting for various types of vehicles.
- Expertise in finishing processes including polishing and detailing to achieve consistently high-quality paintwork.
- Solid understanding of safety measures, use of protective gear, and compliance with environmental regulations concerning paint and chemicals.
- Basic diagnostic skills to detect paint flaws, corrosion, or damage pre- and post-painting.
- Previous experience as a car painter or automotive refinisher in a workshop or body shop environment is highly valued.
- Ability to interpret work orders accurately, communicate effectively with colleagues, and manage time to meet production targets.
- Physical stamina to stand for prolonged durations, work in various postures, and handle tools and materials safely.
- Vocational training or certification in automotive painting or refinishing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of modern painting systems such as water-based and high-solid paints, as well as familiarity with spray booth operations, is an added benefit.
