Capacity Management Specialist

Role Overview and Experience

This position requires 5 to 8 years of experience in capacity management, focusing on midrange server infrastructure across Linux, Unix, and Wintel platforms. The role is available in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Indore locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and plan capacity for midrange servers running on Linux, Unix, and Wintel.
• Lead projects or initiatives related to server capacity planning.
• Monitor server resource utilization such as CPU, memory, disk space, and network to detect capacity violations or incidents, employing Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools for proactive alerting.
• Create dashboards and write queries in Splunk to support capacity management insights.
• Forecast server capacity requirements using modeling techniques.
• Optimize server usage with a focus on performance metrics.
• Utilize tools such as Dynatrace, TSCO for APM, performance testing, load balancing, and capacity management activities.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of Data Center and Container infrastructure environments.
• Experience with demand forecasting, including analysis of Upper Control Limit (UCL) testing.
• Proficiency in Python to automate capacity management processes.
• Familiarity with problem management using Remedy software.
