Role Overview

The Cake Artist position is a full-time, on-site role based in Jiddah, responsible for crafting custom cakes and desserts. Key daily responsibilities encompass preparing cake batters and fillings, baking cakes and cookies, designing decorative cake elements, and ensuring that every dessert meets both taste and aesthetic standards. The artist works closely with the pastry and kitchen teams, maintains cleanliness and organization in the workspace, and follows stringent food safety and hygiene protocols. The role also involves liaising with guests and service staff to understand and incorporate design requests, adapting orders as required, and enhancing the overall presentation of dessert displays.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven expertise in baking including cakes and cookies.
• Advanced skills in cake decorating such as piping, fondant application, and executing bespoke designs.
• Experience delivering professional customer service in hospitality, café, or bakery settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper handling of bakery ingredients and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail paired with creativity and capability to follow design briefs aligned with resort branding.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as demanded by resort operations.
• Prior experience as a cake artist, pastry chef, or baker is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate in a diverse, multicultural team environment.
