Overview

Join New England Tech Air Inc as a detail-focused CAD Drafter who plays a crucial role in transforming HVAC duct and equipment concepts into clear, constructible drawings for both fabrication and field installation. Key Responsibilities

  • Create ductwork models within a shared 3D environment
  • Participate in coordination meetings with project teams
  • Develop detailed fabrication drawings for shop use
  • Prepare installation documents to guide field teams
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy
  • Verify designs comply with specifications and standards
  • Incorporate revisions to reflect trades' decisions in the model
  • Perform self-reviews before releasing drawings

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in HVAC or mechanical CAD drafting within commercial construction
  • Skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and SysQue for duct modeling and coordination
  • Experience working within shared 3D models alongside multiple trades on live construction projects
  • Proficient at interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of duct fabrication and sheet metal shop buildability standards
  • Capable of running clash detection and resolving conflicts involving pipes, conduits, structure, and equipment
  • Effective verbal and written communicator for coordinating with engineers, PMs, and trade partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address design conflicts and implement field-driven modifications promptly
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain version control through revision cycles
  • Experience creating As-Built documentation based on field redlines and installer feedback
