Cabinetmaker

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced cabinetmaker to join our team at Dream House Kitchens & Interiors in Duncan, British Columbia. The position requires a strong background in woodworking, with at least 3 years of professional experience. The role is strictly onsite, with no remote work options available.

Language Requirement

Fluency in English is required.

Educational Qualifications

• Possession of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to accurately cut and shape components.
• Use hand tools such as planes, chisels, and wood files to shape edges or surfaces of wooden workpieces.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to construct items.
• Trim joints and assemble parts and subassemblies into complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
• Sand surfaces, apply veneers, stains, polish, and laminated plastics to finished wood products.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment is consistently maintained.
