Role Overview

This position involves working on a distributed platform integrating high-efficiency storage, computational, and service layers tasked with processing and delivering large-scale, structured time-series datasets. The platform is implemented in C++ and characterized by distributed system architecture, real-time data streaming, RPC-based data transfer protocols, and columnar on-disk storage that supports data processing and analytical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and upkeep critical components across distributed storage, computation, and service platforms, including storage engine development, query execution, networking layers utilizing RPC, and distributed system coordination covering routing, partitioning, and replication.
• Collaborate with internal teams in research and engineering to transform data access, computation, and performance specifications into practical designs and implementations.
• Diagnose and address production challenges, including bug fixes and performance optimization.
• Engage actively in code review processes, system architecture design, feature creation, and production workflow stabilization.

Candidate Profile

• Holder of a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least two years of experience in professional software development.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core systems principles including memory management, concurrency, and input/output processes.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (version 11 or above) and familiarity with the Standard Template Library (STL).
• Experience working within UNIX/Linux development environments.
• Knowledge and practical use of AI-enabled coding tools such as Claude Code or OpenCode to enhance development efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively in an internationally distributed team.

Desirable Skills

• Working knowledge of Python programming language.
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts including replication, sharding, and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with query and compute engine architectures as well as columnar and analytical data storage formats.
• Exposure to Remote Procedure Call (RPC) frameworks.
