Busser - Mexican Sugar

About the Role

Mexican Sugar is currently searching for a Busser to join their team. The Busser is responsible for delivering courteous, effective, and knowledgeable food and beverage service while adhering to established quality and timing standards. This role demands constant attention to cleanliness, not only at guest tables but throughout the entire restaurant environment. The Busser supports servers, bartenders, and team members by maintaining tables and efficiently ensuring accurate delivery of food and beverages to patrons.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and team members positively, creating a hospitable atmosphere.
• Be punctual for shifts and adhere to specified uniform guidelines.
• Set up and break down workstations promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain station cleanliness during shifts and restock as needed.
• Ensure an adequate supply of ice for beverage preparation.
• Comply with all applicable state and federal food and alcohol service laws, maintaining up-to-date certifications.
• Clear and groom tables throughout the dining area.
• Polish silverware and glassware to maintain high presentation standards.
• Report guest concerns, questions, or issues to management promptly.
• Keep all equipment and utensils clean and in working order.
• Immediately notify supervisors of any equipment problems.
• Collaborate respectfully and energetically with coworkers and management.
• Follow all safety protocols and checklists related to the position.
• Assist restaurant servers in maintaining their tables and supporting guests' needs.

Qualifications and Additional Information

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and use a tray properly.
• Must possess and maintain any required certifications.
