Role Overview

The Business Recruiter is essential in scaling Brex’s key General & Administrative (G&A) and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams. This position works closely with hiring managers to develop effective talent acquisition strategies and ensure an excellent candidate pipeline. Beyond standard recruiting activities, the recruiter will lead projects to continuously improve hiring processes and deliver a superior candidate experience.

Location and Work Environment

This position is located in Brex’s Vancouver office with a hybrid schedule requiring presence at the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Employees enjoy the flexibility of working remotely on the other weekdays and have access to up to four weeks annually of fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers to design strategic hiring plans and ensure robust pipelines.
• Actively identify and source passive candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and networking efforts.
• Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, maintaining a smooth and engaging candidate experience from sourcing through hiring.
• Develop detailed talent maps to provide insight into market trends and talent availability.
• Represent Brex professionally to candidates, attracting top-tier talent.
• Conduct candidate interviews using various techniques including structured discussions, technical evaluations, and behavioral assessments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience handling full-cycle, high-volume recruiting.
• Proven ability to build strong partnerships with hiring managers and provide strategic hiring guidance.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage recruitment activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of human resources principles and employment legislation.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Commitment to working onsite in the office three days weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System and Gem recruiting platform.
• Experience recruiting in fast-paced startup environments.

Compensation and Additional Information

The salary range for this position is approximately $85,600 to $107,000 annually, with starting pay based on candidate location, experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity. There may be additional compensation components such as equity and bonuses as part of the overall package.
