Job description

Overview

We are seeking a perceptive, data-oriented Business Performance Analyst to oversee and advance our company's performance management. This position involves maintaining company-wide and departmental dashboards that track real-time operational and financial metrics. You will conduct detailed analyses of distinct business units and overall Profit and Loss statements, uncovering trends, detecting inefficiencies, and interpreting the underlying narratives behind the numbers. The role extends beyond reporting, requiring you to provide actionable insights and commercial advice that aid leadership in enhancing departmental results and profitability.

Key Duties

  • Take full responsibility for managing and optimizing performance dashboards across the organization and its various departments to ensure accurate, up-to-date data is visible.
  • Perform thorough analyses of operational metrics and KPIs for each department to evaluate productivity, discover bottlenecks, and highlight areas of strength or weakness.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial and P&L assessments, including variance analysis versus budgets, forecasts, and historic patterns to evaluate financial well-being and identify key profit drivers.
  • Transform analytical insights into strategic, actionable recommendations for department leaders and senior management to support cost control and revenue enhancement.
  • Work closely with department managers to confirm data accuracy and consolidate fragmented figures into cohesive, reliable reports.
  • Provide swift, cross-departmental data analysis to assist management decision-making during new product introductions, strategic plans, or shifts in market conditions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or similar quantitative disciplines.
  • Between two to four years' experience in roles such as business performance analysis, financial analysis, or management reporting.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau, advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets, and experience with SQL or similar data querying tools is highly desirable.
  • Robust understanding of financial indicators, budgeting processes, variance scrutiny, and corporate P&L frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of converting complex data sets into accessible visual formats and clear written explanations for audiences without technical backgrounds.
  • A proactive and meticulous approach paired with strong commercial insight and a dedication to uncovering the root causes behind data trends.
