Business Intelligence Specialist

Overview

We seek a Business Intelligence Specialist who excels at transforming intricate data sets into clear, actionable business insights. This role uniquely blends data analysis, visualization, business acumen, and storytelling to impact decision-making.

Key Duties

• Examine extensive and multifaceted data sets to reveal trends, patterns, and opportunities for business insights.
• Convert business inquiries and requirements into structured analytical frameworks and measurable KPIs.
• Create interactive, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Craft compelling narratives with data to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prepare both scheduled and ad-hoc analytical reports, executive summaries, and presentations for business stakeholders.
• Utilize Excel and SQL extensively for deep data analysis, verification, and report generation.
• Apply Python for data manipulation, automation, transformation, and advanced analytics tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, commercial, data engineering, and business units to define key metrics and analytics requirements.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across all reports, dashboards, and analytics deliverables.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and enhance BI workflows.
• Present data-driven findings and suggestions clearly to stakeholders and decision makers.
• Continuously refine dashboards, reporting structures, KPI definitions, and analytical techniques to boost effectiveness.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Between 4 to 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related areas.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with relational databases.
• Advanced command of Excel, including use of analytical functions, pivot tables, data modeling, and reporting capabilities.
• Strong practical experience with Tableau and/or Power BI for creating complex and insightful dashboards and visualizations.
• Good working knowledge of Python focused on data analysis and automation.
• Solid grasp of principles for data visualization and the art of data storytelling.
• Exceptional skills in report composition and delivering presentations.
• Aptitude to distill complex analytic results into straightforward, business-relevant narratives.
• Comprehensive understanding of KPIs, performance metrics, business analytics, and methodologies.
• Meticulous attention to data accuracy, consistency, and quality control.

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling large datasets, including geospatial or location-related data.
• Background in sectors such as real estate, PropTech, financial services, retail, consulting, or other data-driven industries.
• Experience in crafting executive-level dashboards and comprehensive management reporting.
• Familiarity with statistical analyses and predictive analytics techniques.
• Prior involvement in dynamic, high-velocity product or technology companies.
