Business Intelligence Engineer

About the Role

TMC Middle East is engaged in an important project with a prestigious client and is searching for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to contribute to successful delivery.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Experience: Minimum 7 years

Preferred Candidates: Diverse nationalities and effective communicators.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• Have at least 3 years of direct experience designing, building, and maintaining production BI systems including data transformations, semantic modeling, and dashboards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Power BI, DAX, dimensional data modeling, and preparing data, alongside solid grasp of analytics engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric or comparable data platforms, handling pipelines, lakehouses/warehouses, semantic layers, and schedule-based data refresh workflows.
• Capable of executing data validation, resolving data inconsistencies, optimizing query performance, and developing reusable, maintainable reporting assets.
• Familiar with Git version control, deployment processes, Microsoft Azure integrations, and collaborating with platform and central IT teams.
• Advanced practical usage of AI-driven coding assistants like Cursor or Claude CLI, combined with rigorous testing and verification of generated SQL, DAX, and transformation code outputs.
• Exhibit strong ownership, curiosity, and clear communication skills. Candidates with independently developed dashboards, data tools, or technical projects are regarded highly.
• Real estate sector experience is an added advantage.
