Business Intelligence (BI) Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to lead our BI and data analytics operations. The ideal candidate will spearhead initiatives to convert complex business information into actionable insights that facilitate strategic decision-making. This role involves managing BI tools, dashboards, data quality, and fostering collaboration across departments to meet organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and execute BI strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Lead the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Analyze business data to uncover trends, identify performance gaps, find growth opportunities, and evaluate operational risks.
• Partner with senior management and department heads to capture reporting needs and prioritize business requirements.
• Oversee data collection, transformation, integration, and reporting processes from diverse sources.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business and operational success.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, reliability, and accessibility of data across reporting platforms.
• Manage and optimize data models, reporting architecture, and analytical frameworks.
• Supervise and mentor BI analysts, data analysts, and other team members.
• Collaborate closely with IT, finance, sales, marketing, and operations to deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting workflows and enhance analytical efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive BI documentation, set reporting standards, define data terms, and implement governance policies.
• Assess BI tools and technologies, recommending upgrades to improve reporting and analysis capabilities.
• Present analytics findings, forecasts, and strategic suggestions effectively to senior leadership.
• Support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management through data insights.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or data management roles.
• Expertise in BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or equivalents.
• Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting frameworks.
• Proven skills in developing dashboards, KPI reports, and management information systems.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clarifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and leading analytics initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of programming with Python, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, or statistical software.
• Understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and information security fundamentals.
• Experience integrating data from ERP, CRM, finance, sales, and operational platforms.
• Background in business forecasting, financial analytics, and performance optimization.
• Relevant certifications in BI, data analytics, or project management are advantageous.
