Job description
About Part3
Part3 is a fast-growing ConstructionTech startup dedicated to developing software that aids architects and engineers in managing the construction phase of their projects. While architects and engineers focus on designing buildings and communities, the construction administration process is often bogged down by manual tasks, fragmented tools, and excessive paperwork. Part3 provides design teams with a streamlined solution to accelerate their workflows, maintain design intent, and focus on impactful tasks.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our sales pipeline by prospecting architecture and engineering firms. This role involves proactive and strategic outreach to identify potential customers, engage key decision-makers, comprehend their pain points, and produce qualified sales opportunities for the sales team.
This is not a routine process of cold calling from a list or relying on templated emails. We expect BDRs to have a deep understanding of the market, engage in critical thinking about outreach targets, test messaging strategies, and continually refine how they source leads.
The position offers significant autonomy paired with a high level of responsibility. Ideal candidates are competitive, curious, coachable, and keen to build a career in sales, revenue operations, or marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate outreach to architectural and engineering firms using cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Generate and qualify new sales leads contributing to pipeline goals.
- Research and identify appropriate stakeholders within potential customer organizations.
- Understand common challenges in construction faced by architects and engineers and articulate how Part3’s software addresses these.
- Qualify prospects by assessing their business needs, decision timelines, and suitability for our solutions.
- Collaborate closely with account executives and company leadership to ensure smooth handoffs and strong meeting attendance.
- Keep CRM data accurate and up to date regarding prospecting activities, account details, and opportunities.
- Experiment with new messaging and outreach sequences to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Use performance analytics to refine your outreach approach continuously.
- Share market learnings with sales and marketing teams to assist in improving overall strategies.
- Contribute to developing scalable and repeatable outbound sales processes.
Candidate Profile
- At least one year of experience in a technology-related SDR or BDR position; co-op experiences are also considered.
- Background in B2B SaaS sales is advantageous.
- Ability to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with high volumes of cold calling and outbound contacts.
- Confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-driven and effective working remotely without supervision.
- Eagerness to learn about new industries, customers, and products in depth.
- Competitive mindset with motivation driven by measurable sales goals.
- Receptive to coaching, responsible, and able to handle feedback constructively.
- Ability to persist with empathy and wise judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or other technical fields.
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or similar sales software.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
Measures of Success
Success in this role means consistently generating qualified opportunities and simultaneously improving outreach quality and effectiveness. We prioritize understanding why prospects engage, learning from setbacks, and advancing conversations that contribute to tangible pipeline growth.
Why Join Part3?
At Part3, you will have a meaningful role in a smaller, agile sales team working directly with founders and leadership. This environment fosters creativity, ownership, and innovation, with room for experimentation and personal development in outbound strategies.
The company supports a fully remote work model emphasizing trust and autonomy, balanced with expectations for transparency, accountability, and high performance. We organize quarterly in-person meetings to foster team connection.
Benefits and Perks
- Work autonomy and challenging responsibilities.
- Flexible remote work arrangement.
- Generous vacation policy.
- Company equity opportunities.
- Company-provided MacBook.
- Career growth and development prospects.
