Role Overview

As part of our passionate team, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is instrumental in driving new revenue streams to stimulate company growth. The role involves identifying prospective clients, understanding their unique challenges, and delivering valuable solutions through consistent prospecting, thorough follow-up of inbound leads, and engagement in sales discussions. Central to the sales approach is connecting with marketers to grasp their processes, technology requirements, and goals to tailor our offerings accordingly and increase our win rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify leads generated from marketing initiatives as viable sales prospects.
  • Proactively reach out to potential clients across the US and Canada using outbound channels to arrange meetings or calls with sales executives.
  • Introduce Circuit and its product range to prospective customers, assess their needs, and propose fitting solutions that improve contract closure rates.
  • Collaborate on refining and enhancing the sales process for better efficiency and outcomes.
  • Develop innovative sales strategies and actively share insights and learnings with the sales team.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover opportunities for growth and customer acquisition.
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of client communications and sales activities using CRM tools.
  • Foster strong, trustworthy relationships with potential clients to facilitate successful engagements.
  • Achieve individual and team-targeted monthly sales goals, providing progress reports and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least two years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably within technology, EdTech, or software sectors.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada with physical presence required.
  • Proficiency in CRM software for maintaining comprehensive client records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas and products effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • A dynamic, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for listening and swiftly resolving client issues.
