About Ceribell
Ceribell is a pioneering medical technology firm dedicated to revolutionizing how critical neurological conditions are diagnosed and managed. They have created the Ceribell System, a revolutionary point-of-care EEG platform designed specifically to meet the needs of acute care patients. This system is currently utilized in numerous community hospitals, major academic institutions, and large integrated delivery networks across the nation. The team is united in their mission to transform critical care with their rapid seizure detection technology.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and achievement-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding sales department. This position is well suited for individuals who excel in an active outbound sales setting and who thrive in performance-based environments that emphasize career growth and meaningful healthcare impact. Suitable candidates include those with hands-on experience in prospecting and cold calling as well as clinical professionals such as nurses or EEG technologists eager to transition into medical device sales.
The BDR acts as the initial contact point for potential clients, applying sales expertise or clinical background to connect with healthcare professionals, comprehend workflow challenges, and generate a qualified pipeline for field sales representatives. This is an excellent opportunity to develop essential MedTech sales capabilities in a rapidly growing organization, with potential progression into field-based medical device roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively conduct outbound prospecting through high-volume outreach methods including cold calls, emails, and social media to introduce Ceribell's offerings to physicians, nurses, and hospital stakeholders within target accounts.
- Research and identify important stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts by asking insightful questions to uncover patient care needs and clinical and operational challenges.
- Assess and qualify leads by engaging prospects to evaluate compatibility, urgency, and interest while clearly communicating Ceribell’s value proposition.
- Arrange and coordinate introductory meetings for the field sales team, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Manage and nurture early sales funnel opportunities by building and tracking the sales pipeline effectively.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive account and activity details in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to implement outbound campaigns and strategies.
- Quickly gain thorough knowledge of Ceribell’s MedTech products to confidently convey their value.
- Handle objections professionally while sustaining momentum and urgency in outreach efforts.
- Manage outreach priorities to optimize pipeline generation within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, cold calling, or related customer-facing roles is required. Candidates with direct prospecting experience or at least one year of sales support in clinical settings such as registered nurses with prospecting background are welcome. Experience in acute care, ICU, emergency department, neurology, or hospital settings is advantageous.
- Strong determination to enter medical device sales, with a coachable, curious, and eager attitude toward fast-paced learning.
- Highly driven, competitive, and resilient personality comfortable with rejection and motivated by targets and continuous enhancement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of quickly establishing rapport and tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in organization and prioritization, adept at handling multiple tasks and focusing on high-impact activities.
- Resourceful and proactive problem solver, able to modify approaches based on outcomes and feedback.
- Technical proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC), Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar tools.
- Confident presenter, comfortable discussing product benefits with healthcare professionals.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range offered is $60,000 to $90,000 USD, dependent on candidate’s skills, education, location, and experience. Compensation packages may also include bonuses aligned with corporate plans.
- Performance-driven incentive programs
- Equity ownership opportunities
- Full employer-paid health coverage for employees
- Dependent health, dental, and vision plans partially covered (50%-70%)
- Fully paid life and long-term disability insurance
- 401(k) plan with substantial company matching
- Discounted employee stock purchase program
- Monthly mobile phone allowance
- Flexible paid time off policy
- Thirteen paid holidays plus three company wellness days
- Generous parental leave
- A supportive workplace culture encouraging career development
- Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization
