Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Representative to establish a robust sales pipeline and stimulate revenue growth across Southeast Asia. The role primarily involves proactively sourcing outbound opportunities within designated Commercial and Large Enterprise accounts, qualifying inbound leads, and setting a positive tone throughout the sales cycle. This position is based in Singapore on a hybrid work arrangement, reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of named accounts across Southeast Asia, collaborating with Account Executives to develop strategic territory and account plans.
  • Primarily self-generate sales pipeline through active outbound prospecting approaches.
  • Identify target companies and key buying-group contacts independently, strategizing outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and analytics tools.
  • Evaluate inbound inquiries promptly, routing them efficiently to appropriate sales channels.
  • Engage with multiple senior stakeholders, up to VP and C-level executives, conducting authoritative business discussions.
  • Create, execute, and refine outbound campaign sequences using the company's sales engagement platform.
  • Utilize a structured qualification framework to rigorously assess and transition opportunities.
  • Serve as the lead for outbound market activities in Singapore, providing feedback on messaging, challenges, and commercial insights to the wider APJ sales team.
  • Achieve quarterly goals related to qualified meetings and pipeline generation, ensuring thorough documentation within Salesforce.
  • Operate autonomously within a remote, cross-timezone team environment, fully managing outbound sales activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in B2B sales roles such as outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), or telesales, ideally within SaaS or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or surpassing sales quotas, with tangible outcomes like meetings scheduled or pipeline sourced.
  • Experience engaging with enterprise or strategic accounts and comfort in conversations with senior decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with structured qualification processes and sound judgment in their independent application.
  • Daily proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems and sales engagement tools like Outreach or Salesloft from the outset.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and capacity to make autonomous decisions without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Resilience and motivation to effectively handle challenges and setbacks.
  • Business-level proficiency in English is mandatory; additional fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, or other Southeast Asian languages is highly valued.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in Singapore.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as business needs dictate.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
