Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative at Docusign, you will serve as the key link between business challenges and innovative solutions. This role emphasizes leveraging advanced AI-powered prospecting tools, workflow automation, and deep data insights to enhance account research and engagement. The focus is on building authentic connections, understanding customer needs, and addressing complex problems, with opportunities for growth into sales leadership or revenue operations roles.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a combination of phone calls, personalized LinkedIn outreach, and customized email sequences supported by AI sales assistants to effectively engage prospects in Docusign's main market verticals.
  • Employ AI-driven account analysis, predictive intent data, and CRM analytics to identify lucrative opportunities and tailor messaging on a large scale.
  • Conduct insightful discussions with prospects to identify pain points in contract and agreement processes, aligning their objectives with Docusign’s platform capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments, and with Marketing teams to strategize territory approaches and qualify significant sales pipeline prospects.
  • Continuously explore and test new prospecting techniques, email strategies, and AI tools to optimize engagement and personal efficiency.

Work Arrangement

This position follows a hybrid working model, requiring employees to split their time between the office and remote locations. Attendance at the office is mandatory at least twice per week, adapting to team schedules.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in outbound sales, business development, customer relations, or account management roles.
  • Willingness to adopt innovative sales technologies, CRM platforms, and AI-driven operational tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to customize messages for diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong curiosity to ask meaningful questions, gather information, and align business challenges with software solutions.
  • A positive and adaptable mindset towards feedback, learning, and evolving market demands.
  • Ability to build trust efficiently with both prospects and internal teams.
  • Interest or prior experience in the Cloud or SaaS industries is preferred.
