The Role

Lucanet is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline generation in Singapore. This pivotal role is at the forefront of our go-to-market strategy, focusing on outbound prospecting and the creation of new sales opportunities. The BDR will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients within our target market segments. Working in close collaboration with Account Executives, the BDR will generate high-quality, sales-ready opportunities, serving as the initial point of contact for prospective customers. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on outbound activities, are comfortable engaging with senior-level stakeholders, and are eager to develop a deep understanding of enterprise finance and compliance challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Initiate proactive outreach to new prospects via phone, email, and social selling channels.
  • Conduct thorough research on target accounts and key individuals to personalize engagement and foster meaningful initial interactions.
  • Assess prospect suitability based on established criteria, such as Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) fit, identified use cases, and buying signals, before escalating opportunities to the sales team.
  • Schedule meetings and generate sales-qualified opportunities for Account Executives and Account Managers.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams to ensure alignment on target accounts, messaging strategies, and campaign execution.
  • Maintain precise and current records of activities, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Continuously refine outreach strategies and messaging based on performance data, market intelligence, and received feedback.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Previous experience in business development, outbound sales, or a dynamic commercial setting, or a strong aspiration to build a career in B2B sales.
  • Confidence in initiating conversations with new contacts, including senior finance and business leaders.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to identify client pain points and assess solution relevance.
  • A results-oriented and resilient approach, comfortable managing high volumes of outbound activity.
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline in managing follow-ups and maintaining pipeline accuracy.
  • A keen interest in SaaS, enterprise software, and acquiring knowledge in complex business domains.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in either Singaporean Mandarin, Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil.
