Job description
About the Role
Sparkbit360 is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its remote team operating in Canada. The role focuses on managing client communication, tracking new opportunities, and assessing client needs to ensure decision-making transparency, proper exception monitoring, and quality handoffs throughout the workflow. Key areas of focus include opportunity tracking, proposal assistance, research, and sales prospecting specifically tailored for the Canadian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned business development activities within Canada by leveraging client communication, lead generation, and account support to maintain clear decision traceability.
- Evaluate incoming information to identify incomplete or inconsistent items before proceeding to the next stage in the Canadian workflow, ensuring seamless opportunity tracking, proposal support, and research.
- Monitor ongoing actions through needs assessment, business development, and sales prospecting, while maintaining transparent exception tracking, ownership, and meeting deadlines.
- Record decisions and workflow handoffs through lead generation, account management, and CRM tools, allowing other authorized team members to continue the Canada work without losing historical context.
- Employ business development workflows, conversion assistance, and client communication to uphold quality standards, escalating issues when handoff quality cannot be verified from the records available.
Success Criteria
Successful performance in this position will involve effectively reinforcing decision traceability, managing exceptions, and ensuring handoff quality through consistent sales prospecting, business development, and needs assessment. Any unresolved matters should have clearly assigned ownership, and completed tasks must leave behind a verifiable evidence trail.
Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in handling client communication, opportunity tracking, and account support within a remote Canadian workflow.
- Strong written communication skills to document ownership, current status, and forthcoming actions clearly in lead generation and development workflows.
- Familiarity with applying conversion monitoring, sales prospecting techniques, and managing CRM data to maintain up-to-date and accurate records for the company.
- Good judgment regarding needs assessment and when escalation is necessary in client communication or workflow items within the Canada context.
