Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will have comprehensive responsibility for overseeing sales operations, driving growth, and consistently meeting or surpassing annual revenue targets. This role requires strategic identification of emerging markets, awareness of competitor products, and the creation and implementation of innovative sales tactics tailored to target key demographics. The manager will also enhance brand recognition and generate leads through networking and other channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales management efforts to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
- Spot emerging markets and industry shifts while staying informed about product developments and competition.
- Design and execute new sales strategies to attract core customer segments.
- Boost brand awareness and generate quality leads through networking and partnerships.
- Present value propositions effectively via proposals and presentations.
- Support sales associates in lead generation and client engagement activities on the ground.
- Provide feedback on market trends and advise on expanding product offerings to add customer value.
- Deliver accurate sales reports, financial forecasts, and revenue analyses to leadership.
- Maintain precise forecasting and up-to-date sales pipelines at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- A university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- At least five years of experience in sales management, with prior experience in travel, e-commerce, or retail sectors considered advantageous.
- Familiarity with digital marketing practices is a plus.
- Strong capability to build and maintain client relationships, particularly with executive-level customers.
- A broad network including Digital, SEO, and SEM agencies is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing, including active listening and positive phone interactions.
- A self-driven approach with a knack for leveraging technology to enhance client relations.
- Commitment to a client-focused philosophy emphasizing care and support around the clock.
- Excellent project and time management skills combined with meticulous attention to detail.
- A passion for continuously testing and improving outreach and follow-up techniques.
