Role Summary
The Business Development Manager (Outbound) will spearhead growth initiatives by leading a motivated team of 8–12 Outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs), driving expansion into new enterprise accounts within the hybrid IT sector. This role demands innovative leadership in a dynamic environment, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting, onboarding, and managing an Outbound BDR team while conducting weekly one-on-one meetings and live call shadowing to enhance pitching, objection handling, and discovery skills.
- Creating and executing strategic outbound multi-channel campaigns via phone, email, social media, and video using platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach.io, and 6sense targeting high-potential accounts.
- Tracking and improving critical performance metrics including outbound activity volume, connection rates, sales qualified leads, and pipeline contribution.
- Collaborating closely with marketing for Account-Based Marketing campaigns and coordinating with sales leadership to ensure smooth qualified lead transitions to Account Executives.
- Mentoring BDRs for skill development aimed at progressing them into advanced sales roles within 12 to 18 months.
Candidate Profile

- Demonstrated success with a proactive 'hunter' approach to surpass outbound targets and penetrate cold enterprise accounts.
- Strong technical understanding to simplify complex IT topics like Observability, Database Performance, and IT Service Management into compelling value propositions.
- Expertise in Salesforce for generating reports and dashboards to analyze team performance and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
- Alignment with the company’s core values: being collaborative, accountable, ready for fast-paced change, and empathetic toward team members and clients.
