Job Overview
The Business Development Manager role is a proactive, hunter position focusing on selling Experian's premier data quality solutions within the Victorian market portfolio. The role involves managing a mix of small and complex sales, from straightforward data cleanses to tailored, technology-driven data solutions supported by expert consulting. This 360-degree sales position expects around 15 new client meetings and 10 follow-ups monthly, specializing in Data Validation, Data Management, Data Enrichment, and Single Customer View Technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive acquisition of new business opportunities within both existing accounts and new clients, managing and closing deals in a designated portfolio.
- Operate autonomously with minimal supervision to deliver results.
- Actively prospect for new contacts within existing and new accounts.
- Maintain a consistent weekly work rhythm to ensure success.
- Embody and promote Experian’s core values across all activities.
Candidate Profile
- Confident and highly motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in lead generation and conducting meetings, with or without technical presales support.
- Experience of at least 2 years in sales or business development, with a track record of closing deals.
- Possess curiosity and skill in probing questions to fully understand client challenges and needs, preferably familiar with structured needs analysis.
