About the Role

We are inviting a seasoned Business Development Manager with a strong commercial orientation to join a well-established organization based in the UAE, specializing in ports, logistics, and supply chain operations. This role centers on driving business growth by leveraging expertise in Customs, Duty, bonded warehousing, and integrated logistics.

Key Duties

  • Discover and cultivate new business opportunities encompassing ports, logistics, warehousing, customs-related services, and regional distribution networks.
  • Maintain and expand a robust client pipeline that spans FMCG, automotive/RoRo, freight forwarding, third-party logistics, as well as import/export sectors.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with a variety of stakeholders including importers, exporters, distributors, shipping lines, and logistics companies.
  • Design commercially appealing solutions involving customs clearance, duty management, bonded warehouses, storage, and distribution from ports onward.
  • Develop and present pricing models, commercial proposals, and business cases while skillfully negotiating customer contracts.
  • Seek avenues to innovate logistics products, generate new revenue streams, and form strategic alliances.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer solutions remain compliant and commercially sound.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 7 years’ experience in business development, commercial operations, customs management, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of UAE Customs and Duty regulations including processes related to imports, exports, and re-exports.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new business, growing customer bases, and driving revenue.
  • Background within FMCG, automotive/RoRo, freight forwarding, 3PL, shipping, ports, or bonded logistics sectors preferable.
  • Well-established network and strong relationships across UAE's logistics and trading community.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and business acumen skills.
  • Capability to develop financial analyses and commercial proposals effectively.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal capabilities; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
