About the Role

WorldFirst seeks a Partner Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for its cross-border personal remittance segment. This position is responsible for establishing and expanding strategic alliances with financial entities such as banks, digital wallets, remittance firms, fintechs, and other related institutions to broaden our remittance network, solidify market standing, and discover new commercial prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and translate cross-border remittance strategies into actionable partner growth plans.
  • Implement partnership initiatives aimed at meeting predefined business objectives.
  • Pursue comprehensive understanding of the cross-border remittance market, including key players, competitive landscape, and alignment with our priorities.
  • Leverage market intelligence and partner analysis to guide strategic decisions and pinpoint promising opportunities.
  • Identify and assess potential partners' requirements and design customized partnership proposals to enhance business relationships.
  • Lead collaboration amongst internal departments—such as Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Compliance—and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant products, solutions, and commercial frameworks within the industry.
  • Consistently discover new business possibilities and recommend innovative remittance models or product upgrades.
  • Drive projects from conception through to rollout, ensuring impactful outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of five years in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales roles within financial services sectors like remittance companies, fintechs, payments, or banks.
  • Strong grasp of the cross-border remittance or payments ecosystem, its processes, product offerings, and commercial practices.
  • Awareness of domestic and international trends and fundamental understanding of risk and compliance within financial services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with proven project management capabilities to lead multifaceted initiatives.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition and maintaining relationships, with added advantage for those experienced in developing and presenting client solution proposals.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; experience working in multicultural and multinational settings highly desirable.
