About the Company and Role
Our client is a prominent market leader in the Data and Business Intelligence industry based in Sydney, renowned within the Data & AI technology sector. They provide both off-the-shelf and tailored solutions that enable their clients to make more informed decisions regarding risk evaluation, lending suitability, identity verification, and fraud detection. Their solutions leverage a mix of internal and external data to enhance customer experience and build business confidence.
They are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic sales team focused on acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts with smaller current expenditure. The role offers a base salary of $120,000 plus superannuation and commissions, targeting an on-target earnings (OTE) of up to $180,000.
Primary Duties
- Proactively initiate contact through cold calling and prospecting to generate meetings and secure new business independently.
- Utilize insights-driven methods to identify client pain points using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, RocketReach, Apollo, and Cognism.
- Evaluate market prospects and opportunities regularly.
- Meet monthly targets for acquiring new business accounts.
- Manage assigned territory efficiently to maximize growth.
- Liaise with both internal teams and external key stakeholders to drive sales objectives.
- Conduct commercial and legal contract negotiations as part of the sales process.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven record of achieving sales targets in new business roles within B2B SaaS environments.
- Experience applying structured sales methodologies garnered through formal sales training.
- Ability to effectively handle sales processes with short to medium cycles.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with stakeholders at the CxO level as well as other decision-makers in business purchases.
- Possess qualities of resilience, determination, and professional gravitas necessary to succeed in challenging sales scenarios.
