Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on the B2B corporate and enterprise sector. This critical position involves driving new business opportunities across various segments, including importers, exporters, software companies, logistics firms, shipping businesses, and emerging marketplace platforms that require cross-border payment capabilities. This role represents an exciting chance to grow within the fintech payments industry as our company pursues ambitious expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and actively pursue prospective clients to reach assigned sales targets.
• Increase business volume and deepen wallet share from current customers.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales goals across monthly, quarterly, and annual timeframes.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients; effectively engage key decision-makers to solidify partnerships and encourage referrals.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 1 and 8 years of relevant experience in cross-border payments or in sales targeting the MSME segment.
• Preferred qualifications include an MBA from a premier institute such as IIM or professional certifications like Chartered Accountancy from recognized universities.
• Background in fintech companies or banks is advantageous.
• Demonstrable success in achieving defined sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a strong ability to close deals.
• Traits valued include persistence, reliability, openness to coaching, and high ethical standards.
• Capability to perform well under pressure while maintaining great attention to detail.
